In September of 1999, Madison Homes was selected to purchase and develop a 4.5 acre site in downtown Annapolis occupied since 1902 by the Anne Arundel Medical Center.

After the hospital announced that it was leaving the site, an intensive review process that began with 12 submissions was eventually narrowed to 4 finalists.

Ultimately, our vision for the property combined with our proven track record for delivering on our promises, gave the city of Annapolis the confidence to entrust us with one of its most valuable properties.

The property, located just two blocks from Main Street with water frontage on Acton’s Cove along Spa Creek, is surrounded by centuries-old architecture and is within easy walking distance of dozens of shops and restaurants.
